First Descent Fest

by Mark Sullivan
By now, most of you will know about the upcoming Tailgate BC event scheduled to go down in Revelstoke BC March 8 - 12, 2012. What you may not know is that most participants will have the opportunity to name a run if they fly with Eagle Pass Heli.

The Holy Grail for sale?

Foreign Lands, Familiar Pow

I love traveling to Japan. The bottom line is, its funny over there, the animated signs, the language barrier, and the smiling Japanese people. I flew into Tokyo last February with Unofficial Networks, and had a blast traveling the country looking for powder, onsen, adventure, and monkeys.

Happy Holidays !!!!!!

Happy Holidays from everyone at PowExplorer.com. As we wait for the snow to fall, Keep shredding and stay thirsty my friends!

Logistics Crew

In every operation there needs to be a go-to guy, we all know the type "Jack of all trades", the "Linchpin" the guy who just knows how to get shit done when when all else fails. Well last season Yancy Caldwell, Jeremy Black, Spencer Cord, and my self had been asked to take on this roll, and get involved with the Smith Optics "Prospecting Idaho" series beyond just showing up to shred the private zone. We had the responsibility of handling the day to day operations of the project. Dealing with Snowmobiles, Broken Snow cat's, fuel runs, Avalnches on top of holding down the fort at a 500 acre private Powder magnet. It sure was hard work but they let us get a few turns in off the clock.... Enjoy the episode ..

Season 2, Episode 11 from smith optics on Vimeo.

It's that Yurt life babay

Sometimes all the cards line up and epic trips happen. It's the kind of thing you hope for your whole life. Trips with members of the snowboarding hall of fame.

And if you happen to be the in the right place at the right time, it happens again, and again, and again.

Believe or not, there is more epic footy to come, the final episode of prospecting will be a banger! After this next weeks edit drops we will head back to the zone for even longer this winter! Prepare your eye balls. Big thanks to the guys for rolling out to Idaho.
