Foreign Lands, Familiar Pow

I love traveling to Japan. The bottom line is, its funny over there, the animated signs, the language barrier, and the smiling Japanese people. I flew into Tokyo last February with Unofficial Networks, and had a blast traveling the country looking for powder, onsen, adventure, and monkeys.

The culture is very familiar, and foreign. We all love to ride pow then soak in hot water, but take a different approach to soaking. Japanese praise only the cleanest onsen, as we tend to praise any hot springs on the side of a river or stream. I have also never seen a dreaded hippy or wealth man clean themselves to the level acceptable in Japan, prior to entering the springs.

Japan rivals only that of Alaska, for foreign countries I wish to shred this winter. For a wealth of foreign country riding and skiing check out Unofficial Networks "skiing the seven continents" web series. Below my college buddy Greg Lindsay and friends let er rip, in that great place America bought back in the day, AK.
